GET A GRIP! Making a Case for Self-Control
GET A GRIP! will challenge students to take control of their lives. Students will learn how to exercise self-control when they are in a bullying situation, confronted with negative influences, or when they experience feelings of frustration or anger.
A lack of self-control can significantly alter the choices we make in life. Failing to get a grip on self-control can lower our defenses, making it easy to give in to peer pressure, and harder to say no to things like smoking, alcohol and drugs.
GET A GRIP! is a 40-minute multi-media experience that will help students see the big picture for their lives - helping them understand that positive self-control leads to satisfying relationships, academic success, and positive feelings about one’s self and others.
