Delivery & Loading Dock Procedures
for the:
Downtown Courthouse Complex

NOTE:
Due to heighten security at the Downtown Court Complex, only the (east) County Street (N. County and Madison St. ) loading dock is used for receiving.
1. Upon arrival, the driver will report to Sheriff's Deputy at the main entrance (between parking garage & north end of building).
Deliveries are received no earlier than 8:00 AM,
nor later than 5:00 PM daily, Monday - Friday.
2. The Deputy will notify Building Maintenance via telephone and Building Maintenance personnel will move barriers and allow driver to back up to the dock.
3. Drivers are required to shut down their engine while in the dock area.
4. Building Maintenance personnel will unload and sign for materials unless it is an inside delivery (will be specified on bill of lading).
NOTE: Only larger packages will be taken on the loading dock (Smaller packages will be delivered by the Delivery Service personnel passing though the main lobby security metal detectors). All packages delivered are subject to inspection either by detection devices or by open inspection.
5. To facilitate deliveries: Please notify the department receiving packages (person’s ordering) when approximately the package(s) are to be delivered, so Building Maintenance personnel are notified in advance and can be made readily available.

Lake County Adult Probation Building

No loading dock is available. Large items should be coordinated for delivery through the department and the Downtown Court Complex, 18 N. County St. (See above).
Smaller packages will be delivered by the Delivery Service personnel passing though the lobby security metal detectors. All packages delivered are subject to inspection either by detection devices or by open inspection.
Robert H. Babcox Justice Complex

NOTE: Deliveries for Sheriff's Office and Jail should use only the Martin Luther King Avenue (Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. and Water St.) loading dock.
