NINETEENTH CIRCUIT ELECTS NEXT CHIEF JUDGE

According to local Circuit Court rules, an election of a Chief Judge shall occur on or before the 30th day of June in the year preceding the year that the Circuit Judge begins his/her term.

CHIEF JUDGE ATTENDS COURT TOWER SIGNING EVENT

On April 11, 2017, Chief Judge Jorge L. Ortiz signed the last beam to be placed in the Lake County Courthouse expansion project. The project broke ground in 2016. Completion of the 8-story 200,000 square foot justice center is expected in spring of 2018.
